(General Producer) 4/21/2004 Despite a late and cold weekday night of April 21, 2004 over a hundred listeners of Russia's first Christian Radio Center (1503AM Moscow) gathered inside the building of a Pentecostal church near "Chertanovskaya" Metro station in Moscow to meet with Juri Popov, the pastor of the largest Russian-language Christian church in New York City, "Beth Shalom Center" (House of Peace). The meeting was organized with the support of the Russian Union of Unregistered Pentecostal churches. In the course of this memorable evening, believers and non-believers alike were able to ask their questions to radio presenter and famous Christian rock musician Vladimir Tarbaev and pastor Juri Popov. Many questions touched upon the issues diving believers but they didn't damped the warm, friendly and soulful atmosphere among those present. Among them, there were representatives of traditional Christian denominations, from Orthodox to ultra- Charismatic Christians, all of which allowed to out the motto of the radio station to practice: "to gather all traditional Christian denominations on the same wave." Thanks to this motto, thousands on non-believers were able to find their way in the the myriad of various Christian movements and denominations, to understand what really matters and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. Radio Center is celebration its 12th anniversary this year, and this was the largest meeting of its listeners to date. We would like to note that the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Alexis the II blessed the broadcast of the Orthodox radio program "Logos" by our radio station. It is the only Orthodox radio program which plays on the airwaves with the blessing of the Patriarch. At the meeting, Vladimir Tarbaev has also presented his new music album called "EPICENTER" (Ground Zero) to mark the ten years since the musician joined Radio Center. (Employers) 24/12/2002 MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR 2OO3! 05/12/2002 Catholics, protestants and members of various sects, except for the Orthodox, Buddhist and Jewish believers may be regarded at religious extremists in Russia At least this is what the report, which was prepared for the meeting of the Security Council, State Council and the Council for Cooperation with religious organizations under the President of the Russian Federation, says. A draft of this report was obtained by The Daily Paper. Over 30 officials worked on the document. One should note that Roman Catholic church is placed first in the list of threats to the national security of Russia. The report says that the Roman Catholic church has announced Russia as its diocese and tries to convert certain clergymen and representatives of the Russian Orthodox church into Catholicism. As the paper writes, the second threat, according to the authors of the report, comes from the protestants. The report maintains that under the excuse of offering humanitarian aid, protestant organizations form the position of self-estrangement [among Russians] to their Russian state. No official statements have been issued yet. Alexander Chuev, deputy chairman of the State Duma committee for the affrairs of religious organizations, hasn't seen the report but if everything that the newspaper says is true, then it testifes of its authors' incompetence.
